A 1" gap is requred between the finished door opening and width of the door set. Hinge Features - dual swing so both cafe door panels swing in and out, auto-close so both cafe door panels return to their closed position, adjusting feature that allows precise centering of cafe doors during installation or over time with use, and a hold-open feature where one or both doors will stay open when desired. Café Doors Emporium is a small family-owned and operated business founded in 2003 and proudly based in the USA Café Doors Emporium’s heavy-duty gravity-pivot dual-action swinging café door hinge hardware set is manufactured from thick solid steel and carries a lifetime warranty on the finish Our gravity-pivot hinge set is rated to hold café swinging door sets up to 60 pounds (30 pounds per door panel) and features dual-swing which allows the café door to swing both directions, auto-close so the café doors return to their center position, a convenient hold-open feature which allows one or both café doors panels to remain in the opened position, and a unique adjustment feature on the bottom door bracket that allows each café door panel to be more precisely centered once installed. To engage the hold-open feature, the saloon café door needs to be pushed open to about 120 degrees and the café door will then hold at about 90 degrees. Gravity-pivot hinges are unique in how they function allowing even heavy swinging doors to feel light due to the hinge’s nylon bearing with a built-in ramp. As the saloon café door is pushed open, the cafe door rides up the ramp and then once released, the café door acts on gravity riding down the ramp to return the café door back to the center position. Installation instructions are provided for which only basic tools and skills are needed. A 1” gap clearance is needed between the finished door opening width and the total width of the swinging door set. The included screw mounting set is intended for installation to wood. If mounting to metal, replace the screws with similar sized screws intended for metal.
