WOMEN-OWNED BUSINESS: We’re a family- and women-owned local business, born from a passion for coffee and community. Our founder has nurtured a company culture where women are encouraged to explore their creativity, share their ideas, and grow together. TASTING NOTES: Exotic tasting notes of nutmeg, coconut and tangerine unfold naturally from the coffee’s unique character — shaped by its variety, the altitude where it’s grown, and the fertile soils that nurture each bean. 100% COLOMBIAN: Excelso Arabica beans provide the smooth texture and balanced flavor that define our coffee. The National Coffee Federation seal certifies that we use 100% Colombian export-grade beans. LOCAL SUPPLIERS: We source our beans directly from local farmers in the Quindío region. By working closely with them, we ensure full traceability throughout the process while contributing to the sustainable growth of our community. COFFEE BEAN SELECTION: Artisanal harvesting methods, where each coffee bean is carefully handpicked and selected to ensure exceptional quality. SCA CUPPING SCORE: With an outstanding cupping score of 88, this coffee presents a smooth, well-balanced cup with medium citric acidity and elegant aromatic notes of aniseed and nutmeg. ROASTING: Roasted and packed at origin, our coffee retains its peak freshness and authentic flavor, with full traceability from farm to cup. DEGASSING VALVE: Each bag is designed with a one-way degassing valve that lets air escape but keeps oxygen out — helping your coffee stay fresher, more aromatic, and full of flavor for longer. RESEALABLE BAG: Designed for freshness, our resealable pull-tab zip bag lets you open and close it with ease — keeping your coffee beans perfectly fresh between brews. CAFE QUINDIO is a family owned and women-owned business from Armenia, the capital city of the Quindío State in Colombia. Our story is full of magic and entrepreneurship. Back in the early 1990´s, our founder, Nubia Motta Camargo, found an opportunity in roasting at origin premium coffee beans. Back then, these premium beans were not sold locally and were reserved for the international market. It was a risky move since the local market was not used to drink good quality coffee, but a move that 30 years later, has given CAFE QUINDIO a special place in the heart of all coffee lovers. What was born as a dream, is now a reality, one in which over 400 employees work fully committed to offer you the best cup of coffee from local coffee growers roasted and packed at origin. Quindío State, from where our name comes from, is located is the center of Colombia, that´s why we call ourselves the “Coffee from the Heart of Colombia”. This strategic location gives our State the privilege of having flat terrain as well as the majestic Andes Mountains. This difference in altitudes, allows the region to offer different varieties of Arabica coffee, each with its unique characteristics of flavor, notes, body and texture. Our Papayo Honey Grand Reserve coffee is harvested in the town of Circasia, with an altitude between 1350-1550 m.a.s.l. (4429-5085 feet above sea level). The variety´s name, Papayo Honey, comes from shape of the bean, which instead of being a rounded shape as most other varieties, it has a “football” shape, very similar to the Papaya fruit. Each cup of this coffee offers an aromatic flavor, with nutmeg, coconut and tangerine tasting natural notes. By buying this coffee, you are contributing to the well-being of many local and small coffee growers in the well-known “Coffee Triangle” of Colombia, where coffee tradition is still the staple of this magical region.
