The basic goal of this book is to train college students for the writing of Chinese characters and the final goal is to cultivate calligraphy talents with certain aesthetic and artistic abilities. In the preparation, it is in the form of focusing on calligraphy training and being supplemented by theoretical guidance, divided into fourteen chapters covering four aspects. The first part is a brief introduction of history and common knowledge of calligraphy. The second part contains training techniques of regular script with brush, pen and chalk as well as standard writing and target tests for "three calligraphies". The third part is to learn others including seal character, official script, semi-cursive script and cursive script. The last part is about calligraphy copy and creative learning.
