The outside of the box is finished first with a sealer, then 2 coats of lacquer to bring out the wood’s natural finish. The inside of the box is sanded, but left unfinished to assure a fresh cedar scent. The large box is made with a brass-plated lock and Key and 2 brass-plated hinges. The lid is plain with routed edges. The top, bottom and 4 sides are all 100% aromatic red cedar. Our decorative boxes, as all our Cedar Essence products, are made in the U.S.A. from 100% aromatic red cedar grown in Missouri. The 3 different size boxes we offer have a multitude of uses.
