Primarily a self-taught carver, Sharon is currently enrolled on a City & Guilds woodcarving course led by highly respected woodcarver, Dick Onians. Now semi-professional, she has a successful small business, Heartwood, which runs workshops and fulfils commissions. Clive Griffin was born in Neath, also in South Wales. He trained and was employed as a carpenter and joiner. He later switched to a career with BP but was forced to retire early due to ill health. He now carves for enjoyment, assisting Sharon with her business when he can. He is thrilled to be involved with this book.
