In this world, you either become a god or a devil. Samuel Haze is a thirteen-year-old boy who dreams of being a hero one day. Yet, he’s stuck in his same old life with the same old people: His mother Eirene Haze, his father Admetus Haze, and his best friend Alexandria. However, he’s finally been able to get the chance to become a hero when the Chimera shows up at his door to wreak havoc on the city of Halos. And his parents had a whole sword lying around in the house made for him this entire time? What’s going on? And last night he had a dream about monsters released from the ground by some earth goddess. He heard the stories about them. The giants, the gods, the demigods, and the chimera. If they were just stories, then why can he see them right now? Unless his whole life had been a lie. Samuel now must venture across Greece just to find answers of his past and find out what’s going on before more monsters show up at his door. He eventually finds out the gods of death have left their post from guarding the doors of the underworld, allowing monsters to come back to the mortal realm, hungry for blood. What’s even worse is those giants and that goddess is planning something big. Which could lead to the end of the world as they know it. The gods of Olympus can’t help for some reason, as no one has heard from them since the ancient times. Now, it is up to Samuel and his friends to find out what’s happened on Olympus, what these new enemies are planning, and stop them before it’s too late. He’ll also learn he’s connected to an ancient prophecy and isn’t the child of Eirene and Admetus. But the child of someone even greater than them. This prophecy could lead to the end of the universe, and Samuel and his friends are the only ones that can stop it. He’ll fight monsters of old times, meet new allies and enemies, while meeting people from his past. Samuel will regret wanting to be a hero, as the only thing he wants is his life back. But he also learns his enemies know he is coming. He might’ve been walking into a trap this entire time....But can Samuel save the world before it’s too late? Most of all, will he ever get his life back
