Charisma Commentary on the Bible, Volume Two covers the biblical books of I Samuel through Song of Songs. It contains an update of the King James Version of the Bible with accompanying notes that explain the biblical text and apply it to life in the current world. The update of the King James Version is a fairly literal translation within the bounds of readability in the transition from biblical languages to English. References to biblical languages are transliterated in order to be understandable to those who are not proficient in the original languages. The content is both practical and scholarly but not highly technical. The theological positions are Pentecostal / charismatic, and Arminian within a broader conservative / evangelical position. This book is useful for biblical classes in higher education, sermon and lesson preparation, individual Bible study, and devotional reading.
