Thirty-four-year-old Jerika Crouch is living the life she always dreamed of. Best friend, gorgeous house in Portland, and her dream job as the Accounts Manager for an up and coming I.T. firm. Today is the day that she embraces her wonderful life fully and officially moves on from the trauma of her abusive ex-boyfriend and narcissistic parents. However, when Jerika finishes one of the most empowering events of her life, and accidentally finds herself being waited on by a man carved by the gods themselves, her plans take a sharp left turn. After a whirlwind weekend spent mostly beneath the sheets, Jerika returns to Portland, determined to put Mr. tall, dark, and tattooed out of her mind. As the days go by, life returns to its normal routine filled with laughter, indie bookstores, and most importantly, lazy weekend mornings enjoying the perfect cup of coffee in her French inspired cottage with her dog, Smokey. Normal that is, until Jerika’s parents find her again. Jerika won’t let them stop her though.
