A fast-growing shrub from tropical America. Known as the Winter Cassia or Butterfly Bush for its profusion of bright yellow flowers in fall and winter. A sprawling, multi-stemmed shrub (6-10 ft) with pinnate leaves and numerous clusters of bright yellow flowers. Long seed pods can be prominent after flowering Care: Thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Drought-tolerant but benefits from consistent watering. Tolerates heavy pruning to control size. Indoor Growing: Frequently grown indoors for a time, but eventually out grows the average indoor space. Requires high light, warm temperatures with a day/night differential and high humidity to produce flowers. Climate: Best for USDA Hardiness Zones 9-11. Can be grown as an annual in colder regions. The product is a starter-sized plant with an approximate 4-inch-diameter root zone. The plant will be a minimum of 6 to 8 inches tall. It will not have buds or blooms on arrival.
