He was a philosopher, scientist, sociologist, historian, and theologian. Darrow in no way resembled the single-dimensional, linear-thinkingattorney that seems to be almost cliche and epidemic in the 90's. He was not the abridged version of a lawyer. His endless efforts to underwtand and appreciate the world outside the four walls of his law office contributed to his legendary ability as an advocate. More important, his effort contributed to his arriving at a "right livlihood". Mike Papantonio is a nationally Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer. He is a fellow with the International Academy of Trial Lawyers and the International Society of Barristers, and is listed in the publications Best Lawyers in America and Leading American Attorney. He is a member of The Florida Bar, the American Board of Trial Advocates, the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Southern Trial Lawyers Association, and the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers. Mr. Papantonio has been involved in complex litigation and class action lawsuits for over a decade. Since that time, he has represented clients throughout the nation, including thousands of Asbestos cases in which he has received numerous jury verdicts in excess of $1,000,000.00. He has also represented more than 2,000 Breast Implant cases, more than 4,000 Fen-Phen cases, and hundreds of Hemophiliac-AIDs cases. Mr. Papantonio currently serves on the Plaintiffs' Management Committee for the Re: Diet Drugs Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 1203. Mr. Papantonio is also currently on the proposed Plaintiffs' Steering Committee for the Re: Propulsid Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 1355, and for the Re: Rezulin Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 1348. Mr. Papantonio was Florida liaison counsel for the Re: Silicone Gel Breast Implant Litigation, MDL 926. Mr. Papantonio limits his practice to mass torts, product liability and personal injury /wrongful death litigation. Mr. Papantonio regularly lectures on topics ranging from cross-examination of defense experts to preparing and trying product liability cases.
