The fruits on average measure a large 4" to 6” long by 4" wide and have a thick juicy flesh that is sweet and crisp. Whopper peppers are initially a bright green color changing to red when fully ripe and ready to be picked. The Whopper peppers can be eaten when green, but if you resist the temptation and wait until fully ripe they are even sweeter and juicer, if that is even possible. The large flavorful Whopper pepper is excellent for salads, stuffing, sautéing, or frying and are also a good pepper for freezing, saving some of the harvest for the colder months. In addition to tasting fantastic these peppers are rich in Vitamins A and C, provide a significant amount of B6 and fiber and are just full of antioxidants, making this a healthy low-fat and tasty addition to your diet. A couple of tips for growing peppers: Place 2-3 matchsticks in the planting hole to provide sulfur –which they like, and for larger fruit, spray the plants with a solution of one tablespoon of Epsom salts in a gallon of water, once when it begins to bloom, and once ten days later. Staking or caging should be considered for this plant as the fruits are large and could damage the stalks with their weight. The Whopper pepper will grow around 18-24 inches tall and will be ready to start harvesting in 70-75 days from planting
