Chef Neet – Culinary Educator & Community Advocate Chef Neet is a passionate culinary educator whose love for people, food, and Jesus Christ is the driving force behind everything she does. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Louisville and earned her Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts from Sullivan University in 2002. Her culinary journey began in the Louisville community, where she taught cooking classes and food education workshops. Chef Neet went on to serve as the Culinary Instructor at Whitney M. Young Job Corps Center before becoming the Culinary Program Coordinator at Jefferson Community and Technical College (JCTC). Her commitment to inspiring the next generation led her to volunteer at W.E.B. DuBois Academy, where she later transitioned into a full-time role as the Culinary Teacher for Jefferson County Public Schools. She has proudly served at DuBois Academy for over five years, sharing not only recipes, but life lessons, encouragement, and purpose. Chef Neet’s work extends beyond the classroom. She serves as a Choir Director at Green Castle Baptist Church and teaches charcuterie and bourbon-pairing classes at Evan Williams Distillery. Her faith, love for people, and passion for food come together to build stronger communities—one bite, one lesson, and one soul at a time.
