Accident? Suicide? Jody Ayres’ husband, Kurt, didn’t come back from a routine dive job. Without the support and love from her husband, her diving partner, and best friend, Jody is lost. She begins to doubt not just his death, but their life together. More worrisome, the police suggest a third possibility – murder. Jody rages at the lake that killed him, vowing to fill it one rock at a time. An old man, Sam McKinney, intrudes on her Sisyphean task. He seemingly supports Jody’s actions by leaving a sling shot for her to hurl rocks without hurting her shoulder. Over their weekly visits to the shoreline, a friendship is formed. Sam too, seeks answers to a mystery - his long-lost sister. He is drawn to the same shoreline, sure that it offers an important clue to her fate. As their lives become more entwined, solving Sam’s mystery means Jody must dive again. Jody comes to realize that if she dives, she’ll both have to and get to face her greatest fear and find answers about Kurt’s fate.
