Coming to the Stage...Everyday Elements introduces elementary school children to the elements and helps them recognize the role science and the elements play in their everyday lives. The book takes place in a theatrical setting, where we meet Dr. Niari Neptunium, the host of the show. Dr. Niari Neptunium introduces herself and the stars of the show, the Elements. She first describes the elements as a general concept and then the elements introduce themselves according to their physical properties and personality traits. Through this whimsical presentation of the elements, elementary school children will see that learning a scientific concept does not have to be difficult or boring. This book presents the elements in such a way that parents and educators can have a fun and relatable conversation about science.
