Gentlemen, start your engines The history of Corvette racingis here! David Kimble is a veteran motorsport illustrator who has worked with most of the current major car companies. Growing up in car-crazed southern California, he discovered his love of illustration in middle school. Kimble is a master of the cutaway drawing, and several examples of his work are featured in Corvette Racing . Kimble graduated from Pasadena College in the early 1960s with a degree in physics. He worked with the U.S. Navy as a draftsman, and by 1965 had found work with Car Graphic magazine. Later clients included Road & Track magazine and General Motors, among others. He opened his own studio in Burbank, C
