God created us in His image and likeness. To grasp the meaning of what the image and likeness of God means, we must first understand what God is like. Only then can we determine the sense in which we resemble God. There is a critically important distinction between God's attribute of love, and all of His other attributes. What is that distinction? LOVE is the personality trait which He “ IS .” He is embodied with love. To quote the Bible directly, “ God is love ” (1 John 4:8,16). He is also lov ing , but the core of His nature is love. The word love appears in the New King James Version of the Bible over 500 times. It is thus frequently used throughout Scripture. Love’s importance and eternal significance cannot be overstated. God has no needs (Acts 17:25). He is self-sufficient. He does not need our praise, worship, companionship, obedience, fear, or love. What, then, was His motivation for creating man? He wants and desires to love us, for us to love Him, and for us to love each other, even including our enemies. Many believe the Bible contradicts itself by teaching that God is love, and yet He clearly displays His wrath when His love is rejected. In this book, I explain why the Bible does not contradict itself, even though there is violence in the Old Testament and more violence is prophesied, especially in Revelation, to come in the future.

How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
