Cuentos Fabulosos: Los Zorros de Esopo is a compilation of Aesop’s fables with the fox as the protagonist. The clever, astute fox struggles to survive in the wilderness among other creatures, which are also fighting for survival. The fox usually gets things to go his way, except when he gets careless and he himself is outsmarted. The fox is a complex character, always ready to take advantage of others and get the most of every situation he encounters. These fables, adapted and rewritten in Spanish, derive from the V. S. Vernon Jones edition of Aesop’s Fables, published by W. Heinemann in 1912.
