This collection of six short lyrical prose tales are packed full of information. In a ten minute read about a conservation species, the reader is bound to learn a new word or turn of phrase, and a fact or two regarding the animal. Presented in whimsical, yet accurate artistic representations, there is a moral to each story written through the lens of permaculture. Science, Nature, Art and Poetry defies standard categorization in its consilience. Angela Dawn Goldsmith grew up among the forests, farms and cities of the Pacific Northwest. Her passion for natural systems has led her to become a certified permaculture teacher and Naturalist in Oregon. She applies these principles on her properties and volunteer designs/advises for other people and their land. Her extensive outdoor explorations have led her to deeper observations for how humans can be better partners in natural systems. The Curious Animals series embodies her passion and knowledge with a love of tales that reach back to her childhood perched in trees, head deep in a book.
