Zing Ear ZE-228S replacement switch is used in 2-speed ceiling fans or pedestal oscillating fans. It can handle 6A at 125VAC or 3A at 250VAC.

ZE-228S can also act as a dimmer switch for incandescent or halogen lamps when used with a 1N5404 diode. This switch is compatible with many ceiling fans including Monte Carlo, Harbor Breeze, Hampton Bay, Casablanca, Westinghouse, Hunter (e.g., 22272) and others.
