The sounding of the fifth angel brought a star down from heaven to the earth. The angel also received the key of the bottomless pit. When he opened it, there arose a smoke out of the pit, as a smoke of the great furnace. The smoke darkened the sun as a result of the air and by the reason of the smoke.
