The Back Story: A Dog coloring book was actually the first in our collection. Inspired by my niece, Lexi the great! I had just eaten at a family gathering and as I sat at the table I watched Lexi, my niece, coloring a page in a coloring book. It was an ordinary coloring page of “lemonade” items, but she was enjoying herself using water paints. I asked her if she like to color, she immediately said, “Yes!” And then it happened…. I had a random thought and said back, “IF I could make a coloring book, what would, or should it be of?” he shouted, “Dogs!” loudly! Almost immediately, From the kitchen, my mother-in-law shouted loudly, apparently listening in on this conversation, from the kitchen shouted - “Exotic Birds!!” “Oh! That’s a good idea!” Lexi agreed quickly from the table! And that was that! I wanted to try. Could I do this? But differently, of course!
