How a Farm Kid, a Rabbit Business, and a Few Life Lessons Sparked a Mission to Help Others Live Fully I grew up in a small farming community in Michigan, where life was simple, chores were plenty, and trouble was usually just one cousin away. My mom’s parents ran a dairy farm, and I spent countless days there alongside my cousin Troy, usually getting into some kind of mischief. There was a lot of mud, some questionable decisions, and a healthy dose of yelling from whichever adult happened to catch us in the act. But the person who made the biggest impression on me back then wasn’t my cousin—it was my Uncle Brad. Uncle Brad was, in my eyes, the coolest human being alive. He was big—like 6’4”, biceps- the-size-of-your-head big. He worked part-time on the dairy farm and part-time at a local gas filling station, and to 7-year-old me, that combo of grit, strength, and flannel-shirt swagger made him a legend. So when he asked me if I wanted to go into the rabbit business with him—raising and selling rabbits—I didn’t hesitate. I was in. Not because I knew anything about rabbits, mind you, but because I wanted to hang out with my big, tough, cool-as-heck uncle. The Business Venture of the Century... Sort Of What I didn’t realize at the time was just how much work rabbits were. Feeding them. Watering them. Cleaning up after them (again and again and again). Let’s just say rabbits aren’t known for their personal hygiene.

How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
