This manual is divided into three sections. The first is a general introduction to the subject of weldesign, its mathematics and the general approach to use it efficiently. The second section contains the fundamental theories and formulas needed to apply weldesign with problems to illustrate their application. The third section contains actual designs, worked out using the information in the second section, for all of the major components found in typical machines and products.
