She is an avid reader, and writing seemed to follow naturally. She is a four-time International Best-Selling Author, a four-time recipient of the Gold Mom's Choice Award, a Hasmark International Publishing 2023 Award of Excellence Recipient, and a Hasmark International Publishing 2024 Award of Excellence in the Children's Books category recipient. Sherry is the catalyst behind the Kids to Kitties Reading Program at the Humane Society of St. Lucie County in Port St. Lucie, Florida. This program creates a mutually beneficial experience for students, ages 6-15, looking to enhance their reading skills and for shy, anxious shelter cats in need of comfort and companionship. Sherry is a Member of the Association of Professional Humane Educators (Empathy through Education). She is also a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, Children's Book Insider, and the Institute of Children's Literature.
