What are the symptoms of engine bracket failure?
1. Rubber cracks, tears and separation of engine mounts, and fluid leakage.
2. Increased engine noise and vibration inside the car when stopping, starting, shifting gears or making sharp turns.
3. The position of the damaged side of the engine bracket becomes lower.
Installation steps:
1: Check the firewall for gaps before attempting to raise the engine. Avoid tearing radiator hoses, crimping AC lines, or cracking distributor caps.
2: Use some wooden blocks to fix the engine on the jack. Never jack up the engine directly through the oil pan, it can easily lead to bending and cracking.
3: Use tools like long extensions and universal joints to loosen the engine from the mounting bolts.
4: Climb under the vehicle and loosen the bolts that mount to the frame.
5: Jack up the engine a little at a time until the motor bracket is removed.
6: Install the accessories from the old motor bracket to the new bracket.
7: Before lowering the engine, screw in the bolts that mount to the frame. This will simplify installation alignment.
8: Lower the engine and fully tighten all bolts.
