The Do Something Wonderful Protocol (DSW) is a proven methodology to help individuals gain greater confidence, personal happiness, and business success. The DSW Protocol was developed after seeing my father suffer from a series of unfortunate events, ultimately leading to a suicide attempt. I saw this same pattern begin to emerge in my own life and decided to investigate, document, and put into practice the DSW Protocol. The result has been an enjoyable 100-day journey that concluded with astonishing results. I now invite others to launch their own journey to enjoy the freedom of developing a giving mindset. If you feel trapped. If you are isolated and lonely. If you feel the negative news cycles are overwhelming you. If you feel dissatisfied with life. There is a way out! By focusing on others four to five times per week and doing something special for yourself one to two times per week, you will begin to feel liberated, and your life will be forever transformed. I believe the benefit of doing something positive for someone else or ourselves comes back to us in multiple ways. This is what the DSW challenge is all about. I can make a solemn promise that if you follow the steps of this program, your life will be forever changed for the better. If readers honestly strive to complete the program, one or more of the following will happen: You will experience greater peace and happiness in your life by seeing the smiles of those on whom you choose to focus. - You will find the DSW journey enjoyable, even fun. - You will find a greater purpose in life as your social connections expand. - You will develop new and perhaps life-long relationships. - Your confidence will grow stronger. - You will feel less lonely. - Your productivity and problem-solving skills will improve while you plan new and unique activities throughout your journey. This book is a small glimpse into my everyday life. In my 100-day journey, I’ve outlined many activities so you can learn from my experiences, struggles, and successes. I realize that my circumstances will not be your circumstances. Every living situation is different. You will need to adjust your activities within this program to ones that are meaningful to you and fit within your budget and time allowances. As an added highlight of the Do Something Wonderful Protocol, we’ve included over 140 illustrations to help illuminate our message. I have also included four chapters demonstrating how the DSW Protocol can be applied to Business, Parenting, Schools, and Communities. Each chapter outlines specific ways you can apply the DSW to your area of interest, along with human examples. The Bonus Section outlines 122 activities with which you can begin your journey by focusing on others, including 101 free activities as well as low-cost activities. In addition, there are 101 activities designed just for you to allow you to take a break and enjoy life! We are also very interested in hearing your stories as you go through this journey. We want to hear about your joys, successes, challenges, and failures. The more we share as a community, the more we help one another, and the greater the impact we will have on society. To share your stories or to contact us, please visit our website or connect with us on Facebook. www.dosomethingwonderful.com Just your participation in this journey tells me something about you. You want to be an influence for good. You want to be a peacemaker. You want to be a catalyst for positive change. Congratulations to you, my new-found friend, and welcome! Gene Pranger
