It is a popular addition to many European baked goods, such as these typical Italian biscotti. Anise is also one of the flavorings used in anisette, a popular European licorice-flavored liqueur. Made in small batches, they are twice baked in the Italian tradition of making biscotti. Each bag holds 6-7 cookies. Best to consume within 3 months, or you can freeze for 6 months.

Dolci di Maria was founded as a result of my efforts to create an extra-special dessert for my son when he was put on a gluten and dairy free diet. I did not want him to miss out, so I started experimenting with dessert recipes until I came up with the perfect combination of ingredients to create these delicious gluten free biscotti.
