The author Don Bamberg, an active member of the Dutch Resistance during the Second World War, was sentenced to death for espionage in 1941 by a German military court in Holland. The actual order of execution was never given. After 13 months on death row, the sentence was changed to lifelong imprisonment. There followed an odyssey through the concentration camps of Amersfoort, Buchenwald, Natzweiler, Sennheim, Dachau, Neuengamme, Aurich-Engerhafe, Gross-Rosen, Mittelbau-Dora, Ravensbrück and Malchow. The fourth edition (November 2017) of Dossier NN has seen thorough linguistic revisions. The chapter "Buchenwald" has been extended by ten pages formerly only available in the Dutch original. The chapter "Facts which previously could not be made public" was also added, and is now accessible to everyone.

How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
