This is a memoir about the life of Elmer F. Page, a salt-of-the-earth man with a large personality. Being short in stature he was accused of being Napoleonic. The story acknowledges the claim and goes on to develop a profile of this emotionally complex and dynamic man. Although the story is basically true, when direct knowledge was lacking fictional biographical information was inserted. The facts seem much less important than the spirit the man left to the world.
