He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. They were glad when it grew calm, and he guided them to their desired haven (Psalm 107:28-30 NIV). Don't give up. Don't give up. Don't give up. Don't give in. Don't give out. Life has its ups and downs, its trials and tribulations, its troubles and struggles, its disappointments and disillusionments. Cars were pulling off to the right and to the left. My mother thought it was best for me to pull over as well. So she asked my father, "George, don't you think it's time for Margaret to pull over?" He asked me, "Margaret, can you see?" I said, "Yes, Daddy I can see." He said, "Well, just keep going." The storm did not get better; it got worse. I too thought it was time to pull over. But my father asked again, "Margaret, can you see?" I said, "Yes, Daddy I can see." He said, "Well, just keep going." I kept driving through a seemingly relentless storm. Then suddenly, the rain stopped, the thunder stopped, the lightning stopped. We were out of the storm. Initially, my father did not say a word, but after I drove for awhile, he asked me, "Margaret, do you remember those cars back there that pulled off to the side of the road?" "Yes," I replied. He said, "They are still in the storm." What an unforgettable and invaluable lesson! When in the storms of life, do not pull over and
