DOUBLE EXPOSURE - LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT A DREAM THAT BECAME A REALITY Joe Harris shares his story of his vision and dream, and how Double Exposure became one of the best young yet unsung vocal groups of their era. He also discusses the obstacles they overcame together, which in turn forged a strong brotherhood. Joe Harris, Leonard “Butch” Davis, the late Jimmy Williams, and the late Charles Whittington were four fun-loving gentlemen who loved singing, entertaining, and partying. They all loved their children and were good fathers, and it was not unusual to find a few of them at each other's children’s birthday parties or someone’s cookout. Double Exposure was founded in November 1961 by Joe Harris. The National Rhythm and Blues Society saw fit in 2013 to present Double Exposure with a Lifetime Achievement Award. It was presented in recognition of their accomplishments and contributions to the music industry over the past 50 years, with all their original members.
