Learners will be able to build a variety of circuit configurations, including basic, series & parallel circuits. The end goal is to successfully create a current path that lights up the miniature light bulb 13 PIECE KIT
Kit is comprised of 13 components - two D-cell batteries, 120" of insulated wire, knife switch, two bulb holders, two battery holders and five miniature light bulbs. *Required but not included: Wire Cutter & Stripper, and Multimeter or Voltmeter & Ammeter (used for measuring current behaviors) EXPERIMENT GUIDE

A simple and classic exploration in how to make a light bulb illuminate. The rule that students should be able to determine is that there must be a path that goes from the negative side of the battery to the positive side of the battery, and that there should only be one path through the filament of the light bulb. Additional experiments examine the relationships between the circuits & bulbs, the rules in which currents behave within a variety of circuit configurations, & what leads to short circuiting.
