EMPI's standard swing axle boots are made of black accordion-style urethane in black. These boots are compatible with VW all swing axles including 1954 to 1968 Beetle and Karmann Ghia 1955 to 1967 Bus and 1962 to 1968 Type 3 models (Notchback/Squareback/Fastback). The boot kit includes steel hose clamps and all hardware needed for installation. Swing axle boots slip over the lip of the transaxle side cover and clamp down on the axle tube allowing the proper range of motion in the rear end while still containing all the gear oil in the axle tube.
