In the early years of America, tower clocks provided a standard time for entire communities to synchronize their watches and clocks. Those clocks were made by a wide variety of clockmakers, resulting in a legacy of unique tower clock movements spread throughout the country. This book documents over 90 movements from the "golden age" of tower clock craftsmanship. The author provides technical descriptions and photographs for each clock, along with a short biography of the maker. In part two of the book, two hundred clock makers, whose working dates range from 1668 to 2002, are briefly cited. This second edition has been extensively revised and updated to include new makers and additional information about the ones previously listed.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
