It takes about 2 weeks to fill the compost bucket and another 2 to 3 weeks for the fermentation process. Then, the fermented food scraps can be buried into the soil, and turns into organic soil conditioner. When the ferment process goes successfully, it does not generate unpleasant smell. The Bokashi compost kit includes a piece of strainer, allowing the liquid separating from the main food scraps to ensure successful fermentation, a piece of spigot and a cup are provided to collect the liquid.
