Is your child just beginning to say words? Does your child already talk but have difficulty saying the ending sounds on words? Easy-To-Say First Words was designed by a licensed and ASHA certified speech-language pathologist to help your child learn first words and improve articulation. Easy-To-Say First Words is perfect for early talkers because it encourages children to imitate easy-to-say one-syllable words with early-developing consonants (bat, up, cake, hop, eat). Difficult-to-say words (for example: elephant, strawberry, flower) are not included in the book. Unique and engaging illustrations will capture your child's attention and the interactive nature of the book will motivate your child to say new words. If your child is struggling with articulation of final consonants, this book is designed to stimulate awareness of final consonants through repetition. A guide explaining how to read this book with your child and how to help your child with his/her speech and language skills is included. "I highly recommended this book to be part of all pediatric speech-language pathologists therapy materials. It is also perfect for parents of children working on developing their early words." -Shanda Gaunt CCC-SLP at Twin Sisters Speech and Language "This book is adorable and full of word prompts! The illustrations are super cute with just the right amount of color and detail for young children. The guide in the book offers some great tips about how to use the book when you are reading." -Maureen Wilson M.A. CCC-SLP at thespeechbubble.com "It's a very engaging book and my kiddos LOVED the illustrations and the predictable format of the book." -Danielle Reed M.S., CCC-SLP at sublimespeech.com "Perhaps the best parent instructions I've seen. There are very clear suggestions for positioning, gesturing, encouraging and responding... I can't wait to use this with my littlest ones as well as young kiddos with phonological issues or apraxia." -Kim Lewis M.Ed., CCC-SLP at activitytailor.com Cara Tambellini Danielson is a California licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
