Born to a traditional Brahmin family in South India, Jani spent her formative years in Kabul, Afghanistan. As a daughter of an educationist, her extensive travels and exposure to multiple cultures and countries have shaped her personal growth & beliefs.  After a successful corporate career, Jani founded the NGO 'Healing Lives'. The NGO operates in Kenya, India and Bangladesh in the field of education, agriculture and disaster relief. Jani's other passion is her Art. She enjoys painting with knives and blades on Oil colours giving her art a raw textured beauty.  Jani's writing is inspired by the connection she feels with the simple, beautiful people she meets in remote places during her travels who form the core of her characters in her stories.
