This book takes you on my very personal journey through love, betrayal, multiple marriages, immigration challenges, and profound loss-experiences that have deeply affected not only my life, but the lives of my entire family . It is written from my perspective as a mother, and openly explores the pain, heartbreak, and devastation these trials have brought into my life. Many people believe that faith exempts us from suffering, but as you walk this path with me, you will see that it is far from the truth. In fact, I feel that trials often i ntensify for those who follow Christ. I make the comparison between myself and the woman at the well in Scripture. I openly share the reasons behind my multiple marriages and the destructive consequences that love and betrayal have wrought in my life. I have been separated from my youngest son since 2002 due to an immigration issue. This situation added enormous devastation and heartache for me and led me down a path of deep depression and anxiety. He was only fifteen at the time; today, he is a grown man and we've finally given up the fight to bring him home. The emotional toll has been unimaginable. The book also addresses the long-lasting impact of childhood sexual abuse I endured, tracing its devastating ramifications into my adulthood. It is equally a story of redemption. I walk readers through my journey of forgiveness toward my abuser. That wasn't for him; it was for me. My message throughout this book reveals a powerful truth-we are never too far gone for Jesus to reach us, love us unconditionally, and restore us from brokenness to wholeness. There may be scars left behind but Jesus had them too, so i'm ok with that. My central message is clear: We are all flawed people in need of a Savior, Jesus Christ, who offers love, grace, mercy and forgiveness to anyone who turns to Him and repents of their sinful ways. This narrative is an invitation to witness God's faithfulness amid suffering and to find hope that no pain is beyond His redemptive power.
