Eco-environment plays an important role in combating desertification,preventing erosion problems,other protective erosion problems,climate change and acting as carbon reservoirs and skins. Dr. Reena Mohanka is a Senior Grade Lecturer in the Department of Botany, Science College, Patna, under Patna University Patna. She has published about fifteen research papers in the reputed journals. She is author of five books in the field of botany and environmental sciences. She has attended many seminars, symposia and conferences. Dr. M.P. Singh is an University Professor and Head of the Department of Forest Sciences, Birsa Agricultural University, Kanke, Ranchi having about 27 years experience of teaching and research. He has been principle investigator of three major projects of Govt. of India, New Delhi. He is also recepient of Rajiv Gandhi parti bhumi award for afforestation in three hundred hectares of wastelands. He has published about 110 research papers in national and international journals and is an author of 25 books. He has guided eight PhD. students and presently is an advisor of Botanical Survey of India on Floristic Research of whole eastern region. He is also an editor of a journal of Plant Sciences, New Delhi.
