This book provides an in-depth analysis of neo-liberal and progressive economic reforms and policies implemented in Chile since the Pinochet dictatorship. The core thesis of the book is that there is not just 'one Chilean economic model', but that several have been in force since the coup of 1973. "A comprehensive assessment and a unique perspective that is articulate and provocative. This will be a widely read and cited work, required reading for advanced undergraduate and graduate courses in Latin American economics as well as a necessary addition to university and personal libraries." RICARDO FFRENCH-DAVIS is Professor of Economics at the University of Chile. He has a PHD from the Univeristy of Chicago and he was Former Principal Adviser of ECLAC, Co-founder of the Chilean think tank CIEPLAN, and Chief Economist of the Central Bank.
