The jungle animals shook with excitement at the rare birth of twin elephants, including Lonnie Lion who considered the nice meal they would make. The animals watched Elmer and Emma and soon realized that Emma had trouble learning to walk. In fact, everything seemed to frighten her. Emma’s friends, including her own twin brother, started making fun of her and calling her a coward. The first night her elephant family moved to new grasslands, Emma lay awake listening with huge ears that enabled her to hear the slightest noise. Then she saw Lonnie Lion crouching in the moonlight. Emma froze in fear, but knew she had to do something to save her brother Elmer.
