The book opens with a dive into our writer, Victoria’s past. It all starts with a powerful dream that ultimately leads to the transformation of both the conscious and subconscious mind. She starts by describing the beginning of her journey and culminates in achieving emotional freedom and self-acceptance. Victoria reminds us that even with great effort and guidance, we can still find ourselves reacting through conditionings and triggers. The problem being that we aren’t employing the tools that truly work. With silence and space, we can better look inward to find our core conditionings and patterns, most of which we aren’t even aware of! We can even experience these perceptions physically in the body. These experiences can and will happen repeatedly until we locate the root of the attachment and then find a way to extract it. This can be done by opening ourselves to the wisdom of our higher selves. We must be willing to admit our self-deceit and seek the truth. This act allows us to access our inherent knowledge, however it can be quite uncomfortable to do this; to get to the root. Victoria shares her own personal experience with this while living in an Ashram in India. She finally arrived at a point in which she wanted to break her patterns of attachment and this was the pivotal shift of her entire life’s journey. She decided to be done with her suffering and emotional bondage, so she committed to a very courageous act and the result was a forever changed and transformed being.
