Enochian magic is a system of Elemental and Angelic magic which has its roots in a lengthy series of visionary magical experiments undertaken during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I by her court astrologer Dr John Dee and his seer assistant Edward Kelly . Using tablets of letters, the Angels dictated to the two magi a series of Calls , or Keys , which could be used to evoke and summon forth the powers and spirits of the Watchtowers . These Calls were in a language called Enochian, which was said to be the language of the Angels themselves, a tongue of extraordinary power. English translations of each Call were provided.
