Its curing time is relatively quick, which can be challenging for novices, especially during mixing, application, and handling

Without sufficient experience, improper handling could result in issues such as air bubbles, uneven surfaces, or incomplete curing

Epoxy Resin Tips for Cold Weather

1. Warm the resin kit before measuring and mixing. Place the resin in warm water for no more than 10 minutes (this will not only warm up the resin but also thin it, making it easier to release bubbles)

2. Warm the mould before adding the resin. Use a heat gun to go over the mould before pouring the warm resin into a mould in a warm room, this helps the resin retain heat

How Does Cold Weather Affect Resin?

Mixing epoxy resin in colder temperatures can cause bubbles in the final resin crafts, extend the curing time, and result in the resin becoming cloudy or dry

Use Steps for Fast Curing Resin:

1.Measure equal volume (1:1) of resin A and hardener B into 2 measuring cups, please measure correctly

2.Pour A and B together into a container

3.Mix slowly and thoroughly with a stirrer in one direction until completely mixed without filaments and crystal clear (3-5 mins) 

4.Pour in mica powders and stir evenly, let the mixture sit for over 5 minutes until all bubbles disappear

5.Smoothly pour and spread the mixture into a mould, remove bubbles with a heat gun / a vacuum chamber

6.It is best to wait for 8-10 hours to fully cure before unmoulding（curing time is related to the room temperature, the best temperature is 77°F )

NOTE:  Avoid mixing large amounts of resin at once, if you are doing a slightly larger and thicker project, make sure to pour in layers and mix smaller batches, and wait for the first layer to cure before pouring the second layer
