This realistic fictional story follows two young Eskimo children who must work together to survive the harsh Arctic environment that they call home. Left alone on the ice, Nenaw and Sitka must use all of the wisdom and skills passed on to them by their parents as they struggle against the forces of nature and wild predators. Ron Brechner, a.k.a. "The Hawk," was a college science instructor and administrator. Later, he redirected his career focus to the field of business and became a sales manager. After retiring, Ron turned his people skills to writing and art. He released his first book, titled 'Brothers of a Feather' and is now completing a series of four children's books about Eskimo Kids.
