Albert Einstein’s general theory of relativity had holes in it as did Isaac Newton’s universal theory of gravity. Einstein added a fudge factor to his equations, a ‘cosmological constant’, so that the equations would fit with his mistaken view at that time that the universe is ‘stable.’ Then Einstein looked through Edwin Hubble’s new telescope and could see that the universe is not stable but is expanding. Einstein removed the constant, and later called the constant “the greatest blunder of my career.” Newton’s theory of gravity later faced some discrepancies, and was replaced by Einstein’s theories. Now both theories are starting to fray around the edges as a result of groundbreaking black hole research. Darwin’s theory of evolution, is also brilliant, but it too has and always has had holes in it. “Nothing in biology makes sense except in the light of evolution” (Theodosius Dobzhansky). Evolution is the basic cornerstone of biology and of several other fields of science. However, even Darwin was aware that the fossil record showed that complex life appeared out of nowhere during the Cambrian explosion. The explosion completely contradicts the theory of evolution. Darwin recognized the problem. He stated that the Cambrian explosion “at present must remain inexplicable; and may be truly urged as a valid argument against the views here entertained.” To date, the explosion has never been explained, more than 200 years since its discovery. The basic theory of evolution is that once in a while an animal is born with a beneficial mutation. As a result, this animal thrives and passes this mutation on to its offspring. Then, through natural selection, over an enormous period of time, a new species arises. Mathematician William Dembski has shown that the probability of this process happening is close to zero. Few beneficial mutations occur in nature. Most mutations are not beneficial. But if an infant animal does have a beneficial mutation, he or she is not more likely to survive than its brethren. Additionally, if the process did work, it would be so rare that evolution would take huge amounts of time. More time than the earth has existed. The first life on earth arose about 3.7 billion years ago. Given the low probability rate of beneficial mutations being passed on, 3.7 billion years is not enough time, according to Dembski, for higher forms of life such as dinosaurs or mammals to have evolved. Complex organs reveal another hole in the theory. Darwin wrote, “If it could be demonstrated that any complex organ existed which could not possibly have been formed by numerous, successive, slight modifications, my theory would absolutely break down.” ( Origin of Species ). With something complex like an eye, the process of natural selection cannot independently put together the different parts of the eye to form a complete eye, since each individual part of the eye by itself is useless. So each part by itself would never have evolved. Therefore, the eye could not have formed through the normal process of natural selection. This is known as irreducible complexity. A new theory on how the detailed process of evolution might actually work, Inner Morphic Field Mutation, is put forth in this book, and this theory possibly might fill in some of the holes that are now present in the existing theory of evolution.

How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
