Explore Longhorn Cavern State Park: A Texas Hill Country Adventure focuses on the unique history of the underground caverns in Burnet, TX, which have been occupied by American Indians, confederate soldiers, a speakeasy, and the Civilian Conservation Corps over the span of hundreds of years. Ages 2-10 Our family of four lives in Austin, TX, on what we like to call a mini-urban farm with our front-yard garden, backyard orchard, bloodhound, chickens, and a pet pig that naps under our covers. During the day, the grown-ups work at non-profit organizations focused on education, while Henry and Tate attend a public Montessori school. On evenings and weekends, we swim, wrestle, do arts and crafts, bake, hike, make lots of messes, and head out for adventures around our town and state. During fall, winter, spring, and summer breaks, we head out for adventures around our country and world.
