Yilitha Semons, born 1980, in the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin knew early on that she had a passion for her people and a creative drive. From the glow in her energetic smile to the innocence of her eyes was driven to succeed despite the environment. She depicts the life experiences growing up in the urban community. In the first book entitled, "Black Jewell: Poetic" was the author brought to life growing up watching, feeling, and captivating the struggle.
