Transformation is continually happening all around us. Society, technology, information, agriculture, industry, economies, Ai, medicine, and more are all examples of areas that continue to transform. Some of them slowly, and some of them exponentially fast. Many of us might consider this positive advancement, and others might argue against it. Regardless of your view on this, nearly everyone is impacted by it in some way. But what if any of this transformation has created negative outcomes? What if the very things that we thought were intended to help us have impacted us in a hurtful way? What if they have changed our values, priorities, focus and attitude? Has it even changed our discernment for truth, our ability to love, to forgive, and to feel empathy; by allowing hate, division, and selfishness to be normalized? If any of this is true, then certain areas of transformation have not been positive…so then what? Restoration would be one answer. Some might be so bold as to say a revival is needed. If something has changed from good to bad, and you want to return to the previous state, then one should consider restoring or reviving it. Through this process of restoration, we can be reminded of the simple things, the basics, the proper foundational pieces...and in doing so, deliver even more value than before! Authoring this book has been one of the greatest challenges and rewarding experiences of my life. I never aspired to be a writer, and I am sure there will be critics, but if it helps just one more person (other than myself), then it will have been worth the journey. I hope you will enjoy reading some of my own restoration story.
