From 1732 until the Georgia charter was resigned to the English Crown in 1752, all leases of land made to settlers could not be mortgaged, sold, or otherwise disposed of. After Georgia became a Royal Province, fee simple grants giving a clear title to the recipient were required to be made. This publication offers the third volume of these royal grants abstracted from official records, documenting changes in land ownership in the counties of Effingham and Screven.

How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
